Khandker Akif Aabrar receives IEEE Brain “Best Paper” Award at IEDM 2021

Congratulations, Akif!!

This year at the 67th IEDM conference held December 11-15 in San Francisco, electrical engineering graduate student Khandker Akif Aabrar received the IEEE Brain Best Paper Award for his paper titled “BEOL Compatible Superlattice FerroFET-based High Precision Analog Weight Cell with Superior Linearity and Symmetry.” Co-authors include Jorge Gomez, Sharadindu Gopal Kirtania, Matthew San Jose, Huacheng Ye, Sanjukta Banerjee, Sourav Dutta, Y. Luo, P. G. Ravikumar, P. V. Ravindran, Asif I Khan, Shimeng Yu and Suman Datta.

IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) is the world’s preeminent forum for reporting technological breakthroughs in the areas of semiconductor and electronic device technology, design, manufacturing, physics, and modeling.

The IEEE Brain Initiative was formed in 2015 to create a technical community to facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration and coordination to advance research, standardization, and development of engineering and technology to improve our understanding of the brain to treat diseases and to improve human condition.
